Pre-surgical Planning

Presurgical planning involve scanning a patient and perform a single subject analysis. Although standard methods can be aplied, the constrainsts are quite different. For instance, one knows that moving fingers involves the motor cortex, thus thresholding a statisitcal map should not be based on a test asking if there are voxels in the brain with values significantly stronger than a fixed threshold. Instead, one wants to ask if there is voxels with some signals bigger than noise and if this forms a cluster with well delimited borders. This issue of thresholding is presented below in this poster presented to ISMRM 2011.
