The first stage in applying to BRIC is speak to the Scientific Business Manager (Duncan Martin). It would be helpful if you could submit an initial enquiry form at this time, but the Scientific Business Manager will be happy to do this for you. The Scientific Business Manager will let you know who your Scientific Contact within BRIC is and will also be able to discuss the possible cost implication to your study for using BRIC.
The flow chart below shows the study application process. This process can be complicated so the flow chart shows a path to naviagting it in a time-efficient way. The process will run smoothly if BRIC and ACCORD (http://www.accord.ed.ac.uk/) are contacted as early as possible, as this will provide the investigator with clarity on what is required for a successful application.
ALL imaging carried out in BRIC will be reported by a Radiologist. This report will be either sent to the PI (if clinically trained) or the patient's GP. This information MUST be put into the ethics application and should be on all "Patient Information Sheets".
